Alscot Park
The Yard is set in the stunning grounds of Alscot Park, a beautiful house built in the mid-eighteenth century in rococo-gothic style. The main block of the red brick stable yard, complete with clock tower, was built between 1762 and 1766. The house, yard and deer park make a stunning back drop for the training of horses.
Since moving here in 1994, we have been constantly improving and updating our facilities, which include:
-
Six furlong straight gallop, wood chip, uphill, recently refurbished
-
Nine furlong circular gallop, wood chip, flat
-
Seven furlong grass gallop, uphill
-
Schooling fences both in the park and along the flat part of the grass gallop
-
Circuit of telegraph pole fences, increasing to 3" 3'
