19th June

Well summer has landed with full force this week!

When it is this hot we turn the horses out at night when its cooler and keep them in during the day out of the full heat and away from the dreaded horse fly!!

Last week saw the great win by Get involved! Patient ride by jack, and jumping superb, and great to see GI really sticking his neck out to line! Also really well done to the Point of Attack partnership who have had a frustrating season with GI, but stuck by him and have reaped the rewards!

Whispering Nick at Worcester too, ran a good race until being outpaced over the last 3 hurdles, fences and soft ground beckon for him.

Fontwell on Thursday with new recruit Young Cheddar and Kitegen.

YC running a great race to finish 4th, more pace in the race and softer ground will suit her, well behaved in the preliminaries which was good to see as she can be a handful.

On a sad note Kitegen has ran his last race and has been retired. On the flip side he has retired sound and will enjoy his retirement. He has been a great servant over the years running 34 times with 3 wins, 5 seconds, and 5 thirds , with the total earnings of £40 thousand.

Well done to Clare and Paul who own him for giving him every chance to find his form again, but just seems to have lost his old zip. Happy Retirement KITE.

Only Betterlatethaneva and Garrahalish have entries this week and will need some rain before they run! not looking to likely at the moment.

Some horses starting to come back into work, this week saw Afterthisone, Myroundoryours and Anticool starting off again.
